Capital Punishment also known as the death penalty often called by most of people as a cruel, inhuman and degrading punishment. Capital punishment is a government sanctioned practiced to people who is already does a big crime. In most countries showed that practice capital punishment it is reserved for murder, espionage, treason or as part of millitary justice. In some countries sexual crimes, such as rape, adultery, incest and sodomy, carry the death penalty as do religious crimes such as apostaty in Islamic nations. In many countries that use the death penalty of drug, trafficking is also capital offence. According to the legend, the first death penalty law established on Eighteenth century B.C. in the code of King Hammaraubi of Babylon,  which codified the death penalty for 25 different crimes  for crimes, death sentences were carried out by such means as crucifixion, drowning, beating to death, burning alive, and impalement.

Eventhough capital punishment is a matter of active controversery in various country and states, the death penalty was overwhelmingly practised in poor and authoritarian states, which often employed the death penalty as a tool of political opression. During the 1980s the democratisation of Latin America swelled the ranks of abolitionist countries. In my honest opinion the death penalty is effective and efficient manner to against many big crimes in the world. For evidence over 60% of the world’s population live in countries where excecution take place, such as Chine, India, the United States and Indonesia, like China already excecuted more than 1000 excecution for death penalty, Iran more than 977 excecution, Pakistan is 326 excecution, Saudi Arabia more than 158 excecution and others country. With major authority assembling in the world it means that world agree with  the capital punishment.

Moreover, the capital punishment will not exist if it is not law managed it. Example in Indonesia recorded 11 regulations still haved treat of death penalty, that is KUHP, UU Narkotika, UU Anti Korupi, UU Anti Terorisme and UU Pengadilan HAM. In addition, Indonesia media did a votes to Indonesia society and guess what the result, it is showed more than 75 percents supported the death penalty. As us knows too, all religion theory with its holy book already determined about the death penalty, like Christiany with Romans 13:3-4 to support the death penalty, many Cristians have believed that Jesus’ doctrine of peace speaks only to personal ethics and is distinct from civil government’s duty to punish crime. And lets take once religion again, Islam with Al Qur’an given teached about the punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger, and strive with might and main for mischief through the land is, excecution or crucification or cutting off of hands and feet from opposite sides. Example from mushaf we can see Sura 5, ayat 33(200) Islam law for Zina.

The capital punishment has many advantage, first the capital punishment gived deters bad people to commit heinous crimes, people want to do a crimes trought not direct will be hesitant to commit crimes like rape and murder, they will be discouraged to commit crimes. Second, the government need not spend for criminals who are murderers and such,with the death penalty criminals who have commited grave offenses will only get life sentences and stay in proson. Third, It reduces the number of committed crimes, the number of major crimes like murder and homicide will escalate since bad elements will not be afraid to do whatever they want, thus crime will death if the elements death too. Last, it is humane, clean and safe, certain the government do the capital punishment with lethal injection being practiced by more states and countries over other forms of death sentences excecution, death by lethal injection is not as barbaric as hanging or firing squad that can be messy and more painful. So, any reason for refuse capital punishment?

In conclution, I think the capital punishment is important and become a good way to sanctioned criminals with the chary impact, because criminals of big crime such as murder, rape, terrorism, drug, corruption and other crimes have to against not to motionless. Believe that, The number of crime will decrease if we are also put death the criminals.
